A. Janitz
Co-Managing Principal
As Co-Managing Principal of Questor, John Janitz leverages his
business operating skills and strategic thinking for the benefit
of Questor’s existing and future portfolio companies.
A “big picture thinker” who demands excellence from
himself as well as those he leads, John has made a noticeable
impact at a number of Fortune 100 companies.
Previously, he was President and COO of Textron Inc., a $13 billion
multi-industry concern, and President of Wickes Manufacturing
Company. He held a number of key executive positions with Wickes’
predecessor company, Gulf+Western Industries, Inc., including
Group President of its industrial and automotive units. John also
served as an Executive Vice President at TRW Inc. He began his
career at Ford Motor Co., holding a variety of engineering and
manufacturing positions.
John currently serves as Chairman of Teksid Aluminum, the world’s
largest independent global producer of aluminum castings for the
automotive industry. Teksid is a Questor portfolio company.
John holds a BS degree in mechanical engineering from Villanova
University and an MBA degree from Eastern Michigan University.
He is a graduate of the Harvard University Advanced Management
Program.
